Improve the Saddle straps
I received my iPhone 4S Saddle recently, and I am very impressed with the basic design (which is why I ordered it in the first place). However, the velcro straps are basically useless, for two reasons.
First, no matter how I position the Saddle on my forearm, two of the velcro tabs rub against my shirt when I'm running. The velcro grabs my shirt and comes undone. In the four times I've run with the Saddle, it has loosened itself every time. And I cannot run 30+ minutes with my arm so far away from my body that the velcro never catches.
Second, the velcro hooks on each tab are simply not strong enough to remain securely fastened. With the weight of the iPhone 4S coupled with my arm motion during a run, the velcro just lets go (and not due to rubbing against my shirt). Twice I've lost the entire thing, but saved it from hitting the ground.
This morning I used paperclips to secure the four velcro tabs before going running. It worked. The straps didn't release, even when they rubbed against my shirt.
So, my question to you is this. Do you really expect your customers to spend $30 for a Saddle and then be force to attach paperclips to make it useable? You really need to redesign the way the straps are secured. They either need to use a much stronger velcro material, or use a clasp or clip design that won't catch on shirt material or come loose during regular use.
You have a great basic product, but the straps need a lot of work.
Thank you,
John Jordan
We have been designing new and improved Saddle straps. These will be sent out to everyone who has ordered the Saddle so far.

I got my Saddle in December 2014 and really love it, except for the straps falling off frequently (I walk two dogs and my arms move alot, especially when I'm wearing a sweater). Did I perhaps not receive a Saddle with the new and improved Saddle straps?

I have been using the saddle for about two and a half months now. I was disappointed that the straps began to fail and began to use duct tape to insure the case remained attached to my arm. Without asking I received replacement straps in the mail. I was surprised by this support especially in todays market where many stores tell you to contact the manufacturer and tell you they are not responsible for problems with merchandise they sell.
This doesn't mean the straps won't fail again but it's good to know the company is responding to customer problems and will eventually fix the strap issues. -

I am having the same issue Steve is having, The velcro and rubber are coming apart. Has anyone contacted Digifit about this issue?

I used electrical tape around the butt end of the straps since they do not need to be detached from the Saddle. This is smooth and secure and holds up well when wet. Also position the straps so that the other end (the one you use to take it on and off) faces away from your body. This will keep them from rubbing on your clothing. Sadly, the Velcro and rubber on both my straps are coming apart after 3 weeks, but this is a different issue.
