Make the apps more friendly to vision impaired people
I am writing about an accessibility issue. I use VoiceOver, the screenreader built into iOS, because I am blind. When I start a workout in DigiFit, nothing on the workout screens can be read by VO. This means that a person who is blind and wants to use this app cannot actually access any of the data available from paired sensors throughout a workout.
The audio announcements are a wonderful feature, but they are not a substitute for the on-demand access to performance data available to a person who is sighted. In addition, the lack of accessibility once a workout has been started means that it's impossible to pause and/or end a workout, thereby effecting the accuracy of workout statistics because of the amount of time needed to try to find sighted assistance.
There are a lot of people who are blind and participate in all sorts of physical activities, at levels ranging from those of us getting back into shape to those of us who are training for the next marathon. DigiFit has so many amazing features, and such a comprehensively well-thought-out platform that it's frustrating to be unable to use it to the fullest because of a lack of accessibility. Please consider implementing full VoiceOver accessibility, especially on the workout screen.
Thanks very much for an otherwise exciting app.
Looking forward to using DigiFit much more in the future!
